No, it was just a contrivance to get me to play-- part of the "annoying anyone not connected to the game" part.

So-- what did you think "DBTV" stood for? ;)

At the time, I saw your tweets in my stream and thought "#godbacks" was some kind of sarcastic comment about the team.

I too have wondered (did you say this?), why men aren't specifically challenged with the visual allure of Pinterest. At least in my sphere of influence, it's mainly the females who are head-over-heels in love with it. Would love to know the ratio there..

My boards are more A.D.D. like in their formation, which describes me totally. I may eventually dab into the more intellectual/cause mode - rather than just eye candy, but in the mean time, I wonder if we're all just building a relationship and audience of trust, so down the road when we're really ready to "say" something, they just might listen. Or catch a glimpse...

That's a great ending question about how to apply these to blogs.

I'm curious about a few things with Pinterest:

1. I wonder what the ratios of views to re-pins/likes/comments are on Pinterest. We'll never know, unless Pinterest reveals the views a particular pin has had.

2. I wonder what the proportion of content on Pinterest is that is re-pinned vs pinned. It seems very high, so content is very viral on there. (More so than Twitter?) Because it's visual, there's less time involved with making a decision on whether to share it, unlike a blog post which usually requires a decent amount of time to read it first.

Even in the sports world, it is critical to have a real story at the right time. This means you have to throw it in the strike zone - individual, customized pitches work 100 times better than blast email pitch!
