..meaning, the Manhattan folks aren't hip to the whole "blog" thing yet?

Doesn't matter to me. The content is what I'm after-- show value to me-- and to the Manhattan PR folks-- by highlighting what all these smart PR folks are saying, rather than have this silly potato sack race.

Thanks, Paul.

There are different types of rules, I admit. The "no diapers in the pool" one stays ironclad in my book, and at the office, I'll never mess with expense report procedures. I was taking a few liberties in the analogy.

I'm not talking about rules as law so much as rules for "how to tie your shoes," "how to write a press release" or "how to run a project team." Learn how to do it, then make it your own.

Rules - well I think rules are the foundation for a civilized society. Clearly some people feel they are above the rules (can you say Spitzer) but some people are perfectly content with them.

I dont think rules are meant to be like Jazz meaning that you can interpret them in improvisational ways - but sometimes bending the rules are the best way to get something done in a company so who am I to throw stones ;-)

The problem with the Beatles is that they produced a fair amount of stuff that was mindless pop music in the first place (never mind the covers). Lennon himself said so. In the Playboy interviews he dissed more Beatles tunes than he praised. "Hello Goodbye"? "Yellow Submarine"? Yikes. It's pap.

Anyone who really loves Rock n' Roll goes through a period of hating the Beatles for this reason.

But then there are the genius gems like "Day in the Life" and my favorite Beatles tune, "Tomorrow Never Knows" that make you come back, eventually.

All this talk about February in Austin. How's August treating you? There's only one way to go from shorts, and we don;t need that mental picture.

I miss you as well Doug ;)

I've already found a bar owned by a Bostonian that shows all Sox, Pats, Celts and even Bruins games...which will be nice watching in shorts in February ;)

Looking forward to seeing Bryan again and completing our evil plan to annex Austin into Massachusetts.

Love the idea of a best content contest. No tweets.
