In the Social Media fishbowl, it’s nice to remind ourselves that community is community, whether online or off.
Our Community is tight-knit, and when volunteers were needed to help rebuild a playground in honor of a local child who had passed away, there was a ton of response- from organizations and individuals. The park Is beautiful, and we are having the official opening ceremon this week.
What works? Shared affinity, passion, goals. This is the old-fashioned ‘neighborhood’ community and its qualities apply to online communities.
