Thank you so much for writing this. I too often feel selfish that I grieve the loss of Andrew in this world. I knew him very briefly as a professional colleague, but he was – as many have described – so full of life, and he made an impression on me. I’m glad that his friends and loved ones have a fitting way to pay tribute to him, and I’ll be donating to that boathouse fund.

Hey all, thanks for the comments. Another reason to write this, is i am seeing people from different parts of life coming to this page. Dayngr and B.L. I know professional through work in social media. Dave is one of the group of childhood friends I talk about above. Nice to see walls coming down. Dave also posted about Andrew Dayngr has her own story about 9/11 And B.L. has a brief story here

Thanks for posting that story Doug. It’s not the people writing about it who are selfish. People who want to ignore it are the selfish ones.

sorry for your loss, i also had some of my own that day and after. i don’t bring it up so much any more, but i wrote about it today because that was what i needed to do.

Thank you for sharing your story. I don’t think anyone should feel like they can’t grieve or feel whatever it is that they are feeling. A loss is a loss and no matter how it occurs it affects you and changes you.
